Pallet pooling is a program where we manages your pallets for you. Instead of buying your own supply of pallets, you rent from a shared pool. TPP ensures that a supply of pallets in good repair and ready for use arrives at your facilities when you need them. We also arrange for the pallets you have used to be taken to other companies or back to your production facilities. We also take care of the reverse logistics throughout the supply chain needed to recover these pallets for reuse by you or other manufacturers.
We buy back 48×40” 4-way pallets, EU pallets, and other common pallet sizes in a variety of grades. Odd sizes and scrap pallets can also be removed. we’ll arrange for drop trailers to be available on site for ease of loading and removal. We charge for picking up pallets that cannot be repaired. These are typically shredded and recycled as landscape mulch or biomass.
We sell pallets in various sizes and variety, whether they are new, recycled (used), or combo. The most popular pallet is the standard size pallet, which is the GMA 48 x 40 4-way Pallet.
A 2-way pallet only has forklift access through the front and back. A 4-way pallet has fork lift access on all 4 sides of the pallet. The cut out piece is known as a notch, the notches are located on the bottom part of the side stringers.
Most countries require for any pallet if it is being shipped overseas, to be heat treated/ kiln dried pallets. This method is used to kill any bug larvae and the lumber itself is free of bug infestation. Most countries also require a certified letter and for all pallets to contain a certified stamp, the stamp contains a special number that identifies the supplier
1.Block Pallets
These pallets are known for their four-way entry, meaning they can be accessed by forklifts on all four sides. Block pallets can be made of wood, plastic, or plywood, and are generally comprised of four to 12 cylindrical wooden posts to stabilize the top deck boards.
Block pallets are available with or without bottom boards, and can come in a variety of configurations. This design uses both perpendicular and parallel stringers to increase handling efficiency.
2.Stringer Pallets
Two-way stringer pallets: This pallet gets its name from the stringers—the boards running between the top and bottom deck boards—used to support the pallet’s load. The two-way pallet allows fork entry from only two sides.
Four-way stringer pallets: This type of pallet is exactly the same as its two-way counterpart, but allows access on four sides. There are two types of four-way stringer pallets: those with notched stringers and those with block designs. Notched stringer pallets allow four-way entry only with forklifts, and two-way entry with pallet jacks. Block design pallets allow four-way entry from both pallet jacks and forklifts.
3.Double-Face Pallet
Pallets exist in two general styles: single-face and double-face. Double-face pallets are comprised of decks on both top and bottom surfaces. The bottom deck increases the strength of the pallet, and helps evenly distribute the weight of the load.
Double-face pallets come in two types: reversible and non-reversible. Reversible pallets can be flipped and have items stacked on either side. Non-reversible pallets generally have one surface with more densely packed planks for storing and packing.4.Double Wing Pallet
This pallet’s design consists of top and bottom deck boards extending beyond the stringers or stringer boards. This design gives the illusion of “wings” along the side of pallets.
5.Solid Deck Pallet
The surface of solid deck pallets consist of one large sheet of wood with no spaces. These pallets are considered aesthetically appealing to many customers, and are easy to clean and transport. They also make transporting or storing smaller items easy—with other types of pallets, these might slip through the cracks.
When you heat treat a pallet, the unique operator number is stamped on the outside of one of the stringers.
When constructing pallets with green lumber, insects often live in the freshly cut wood. Heat treating pallets raises the temperature of the wood to dispose of any remaining bugs, which prevents them from spreading between companies and countries.
Heat treatment is mandated by U.S. customs under the ISPM-15 program. It requires that all pallets that enter and exit the country.
Pallets only need to be heat-treated once; however when a heat-treated pallet is repaired with new wood, it must be treated again to ensure the entire pallet is protected against bugs. Heat treating prices vary, but typically costs between $0.75 to $1.25 per pallet.
Our pallet design software provides our suppliers with an exact blueprint of the pallet structure needed to support and ship your products safely based on the density of the lumber and the type of load being carried. These blueprints enable our staff to efficiently build durable, reliable pallets that are ready to ship when the time comes.
Because our design software relies on unique pallet specifications, it gives our customers peace of mind knowing their pallets are designed specifically for the products they carry. This increases safety during the shipping process and once the pallets are in storage.
